Suomi - Finland

The Republic of Finland (Finnish: Suomi, Suomen tasavalta; Swedish: Republiken Finland), is one of the Nordic countries and a member of the European Union. Situated in Northern Europe, it shares land borders with Sweden to the west, Russia to the east and Norway to the north. Finland is bounded by the Baltic Sea with the Gulf of Finland to the south and the Gulf of Bothnia to the west.

Limita a norte com a Noruega, a leste com a Rússia, a sul com o Golfo da Finlândia a oeste o Golfo de Bótnia. Capital: Helsinki (em sueco: Helsingfors; em português: Helsínquia). As línguas oficiais são o finlandês e o sueco. 338,145 km². 5 255 580 habitantes (2006).
